As I’m brushing my teeth, my fiancé pulls out his almost empty tube of toothpaste & asks “Do you have a bobby pin?”. I proceed to dig through my makeup bag to get one out & ask what he’s going to do with a bobby pin. He clasps the bobby pin around the bottom of the tube of paste & begins to squeeze the bobby pin pulling it toward the cap on the right side, then removes the bobby pin & places it on the left & pulls upward squeezing all the toothpaste from the bottom of the tube toward the cap again. Once the toothpaste is squeezed toward the cap he rolled up the bottom of the tube & thread the bobby pin through the roll pinning it in place. 
I was thrilled to see the compact roll & my toothpaste lasted another several weeks!
